Jock Jocumsen
Where Timber Meets Its Maker.
Jock sees possibility in timber others might overlook. He collects pieces from historic ships, naval establishments, old buildings and family collections - carefully storing them, sometimes for decades, until the right purpose reveals itself.
In his workshop, nothing is hurried. Each piece is studied by hand, its grain followed, its scars respected and its history allowed to remain visible.
Jock measures, shapes, sands and finishes every creation himself, guided as much by feel as by craft.
What finally emerges is an old timber given a new life, handmade with patience and created to carry its story forward.
What began at his father’s side continues with his wife beside him.
